The really short bio
I’m just an average guy living somewhere in the frozen yeti infested land known as the Midwest.  I’m not married and don’t have any kids.  I do have a couple of advanced degrees and currently work in a science related field.  Yeah, that’s a bit vague, but I’m not the kind of person to give a personal expose over the internet.

Why am I blogging?
While I’m not a personal finance professional or a business major, I have become increasingly interested in many aspects of personal finance, investment and economics over the last few years.  This blog is my attempt to chronicle everything I know and everything I learn about finance in a usable and approachable form.  It is my hope that these efforts will not only benefit myself but will also benefit everyone who reads this blog.
